The flood in the bible and Gilgamesh's Epic have many similarities and differences. In the bible, god flooded the earth to teach a lesson and wash away the bad, but the gods in Gilgamesh's Epic flood the earth out of anger. Both stories mentioned a white dove leaving and not returning. The gods in both stories chose certain people to build an ark to survive the flood. But the gods in Gilgamesh didn't have the chosen person take two of each animal in the ark. It's basically the same flood but an almost completely different story.
